Same locked taxonomy, rendered two ways so you can feel the difference between showing 2 tiers vs 3. Both use Activity Stages and cover Ideation + Design only. Current state: Ideation › Discover › Discovery.
Studio is implied by the nav tab you're already on (Ideation Studio is highlighted up top), so the stepper never re-draws it. You see the 4 stages, and the phases of the one you're in. A faint forward hint shows Design is next.
Trade-off: cleanest, least vertical space, matches the app's existing studio nav. You can't see Design's stages without switching studios — but you rarely need to mid-Ideation.
The whole cross-studio arc lives inside the stepper. Studio row shows Ideation (active) and Design (ahead); stage row shows the active studio's stages; phase row shows the active stage's phases. Nothing is hidden — at the cost of a third row.
Trade-off: most orienting — you always see how far the entire journey runs and can jump across studios from one place. Costs a third row of chrome on every phase screen.
Self-contained — open in any browser. Tip: a nice compromise is to ship 2-tier as the default and let the studio row from 3-tier appear only on hover / when you reach Design.
